Shakespeare in the Park is back—like you’ve never seen it before!

This unique production brings together some of Shakespeare’s most iconic moments into one unforgettable performance.

Instead of a single play, audiences will experience a creative blend of scenes

from multiple classics, including Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, As You Like It, and Macbeth.

Our students have worked incredibly hard to bring this show to life, expanded their comfort zones, and risen to the challenge of performing a wide range of characters and styles. Their dedication, creativity, and growth truly shine in every scene.

From romance and comedy to tragedy and mischief, this show captures the full range of Shakespeare’s genius in one magical show.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or brand new to his work, there’s something here for everyone.

Tech Crew

We are excited to announce a fantastic addition to our Curtain Call Academy offerings this season: Tech Theater classes! This new program has been a huge success, providing students with an opportunity to explore the essential behind-the-scenes elements that bring our performances to life.

Here's what students have accomplished:

1. Set Design and Construction:

  • Creativity in Design: Students collaborated to create innovative and functional set designs, transforming our stage into a magical world for our productions.
  • Hands-On Construction: They learned to use tools safely and effectively, constructing sturdy and visually appealing sets.

2. Lighting and Sound:

  • Lighting Mastery: Students designed lighting lighting cues, and operated the lighting board, creating mood and atmosphere for each scene.
  • Sound Engineering: They handled microphones, managed sound effects, and ensured that every line and musical note was heard clearly by the audience.

3. Stage Management:

  • Organization and Coordination: Students took on the vital role of stage managers, coordinating backstage activities, managing props, and ensuring smooth scene transitions.
  • Problem-Solving: They developed quick-thinking skills to address any issues that arose during rehearsals and performances.

5. Prop Creation and Management:

  • Craftsmanship: Students created and maintained props, adding crucial details to enhance the storytelling of our productions.
  • Responsibility: They managed the inventory and placement of props, ensuring everything was in the right place at the right time.

6. Teamwork and Leadership:

  • Collaboration: Our youth worked closely together, demonstrating excellent teamwork and supporting one another throughout the process.
  • Leadership Skills: Many students took on leadership roles, guiding their peers and taking responsibility for various technical aspects of the productions.

Looking Ahead:

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication our students have shown in these inaugural Tech Theater classes. Their contributions have been invaluable, and we are excited to continue offering and expanding this program in future seasons.
